This blog is about my garden and the outdoors. I am new to photography but I am trying to show some of the pretty things that grow here in Michigan. I love the wild things who visit me and I dont mind if they eat a bit here and there. I like it more if they let me take their picture. As time goes on I think I will try to show you around the beautiful area that I live in as well as my garden. I try to use my own pictures as much as possible but will also use pictures from the web. If I inadvertently use your photo or work without permission please email me and I will remove it or give credit if you prefer. I will give credit when I know who the owner is. I would ask that anyone using my pictures do the same.

Rake up the leaves.............

This is it, the last of the leaves are coming down. Our town picks them up at the curb a couple of times and just prior to the dates they give us, everyone is out raking. Making a supreme effort to get those leaves out to the curb. It has been rather windy and so they are more often back up in the air than in neat piles at the curb. It is actually rather pretty.

The colours are still beautiful but most of the trees are bare now...........still a few piles left up there though..........

There are some lovely berries still on the trees.

The cardinal baby survived. (thank you, thank you very much) she still comes about every day. She has found the grapes, she does like the bird seed though and I hope she survives the winter. She had a good beginning and is a tough girl. I hope she builds her nest here next year.
